Israel conducts airstrikes on Abu al-Duhur airbase in Syria

Israeli air forces conducted four airstrikes against the Abu al-Duhur military airfield in Syria's Idlib province early Tuesday morning. The strikes targeted runways and storage centers at the facility, which is located in a strategic position between the Idlib, Hama, and Aleppo provinces.

Local media and Syrian state press reported that the airfield, which has been used as a training center for the new Syrian army following the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime, has not reported any casualties. The Israeli military has not officially commented on the operation.

The strikes occur amid escalating regional tensions and diplomatic friction between Israel and Turkey. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has criticized Israel's actions as a threat to Syrian territorial integrity, while Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has warned that Israel will not permit military developments in Syria that could pose a security threat to its borders.
