Israel Defense Forces return three civilians from Syria

Three Israeli civilians from the Bashan Pioneers movement crossed the international border into Syria near the Mount Hermon region overnight. The individuals were located by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and escorted back into Israeli territory.

Following their return, the three individuals were detained and transferred to the Israel Police for investigation. The Bashan Pioneers, a movement attempting to establish a civilian outpost known as ‘Tal Hermon,’ stated that the activists believe Jewish settlement in the area is essential for long-term security. The movement noted that its members have been detained and evacuated from the site on several previous occasions.
