Israel Defense Minister reveals details of strikes on Iran

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has revealed details regarding military operations against Iran, stating that Israel and the United States deployed 36,000 bombs during their joint military actions.

Katz specified that the Iranian nuclear program was destroyed during an operation named “Rising Lion.” He also described a separate operation, “Lion’s Roar,” which was conducted in cooperation with the United States. According to the minister, the two nations utilized precision-targeted explosive warheads, each weighing one ton, to strike targets within Iran.

In his remarks, Katz also reflected on the 1973 Yom Kippur War, characterizing the failures of that era as political rather than military, noting that leadership was aware of impending attacks but failed to take preemptive action due to international concerns. He noted that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a “firm and dramatic” decision to conduct strikes on targets 2,000 kilometers away in Iran.
