The Israeli military conducted a massive operation in southern Lebanon, using approximately 1,100 tons of explosives to destroy a strategic Hezbollah underground complex located beneath the Ali al-Taher ridge. The detonation was so powerful that it triggered a seismic tremor measuring 4.1 magnitude, which was recorded by the US Geological Survey and felt in surrounding areas including Nabatieh and Sidon.

The destroyed network, which reportedly extended over two kilometers, served as a central command hub for Hezbollah's Badr Unit. Israeli officials stated the infrastructure was built over two decades with Iranian funding and planning. During searches of the site, the IDF reported finding a significant cache of weapons, including Iranian-made rockets, missiles, drones, anti-tank missiles, and mines.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the operation aims to establish a stable security zone to protect northern Israeli communities and prevent Hezbollah from re-establishing its presence in the area. Meanwhile, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun visited the war-torn Nabatieh region, emphasizing national principles of reconstruction and the return of displaced persons, while noting that new negotiations with Israel are currently not taking place.
