Israel detains Egyptian citizen and conducts raids in West Bank

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported the detention of an Egyptian civilian on Tuesday night after he crossed the border fence near the Nitzana sector. The individual was handed over to security forces for questioning. The IDF stated it views the incident with gravity and remains on high alert in the sector.

In the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces arrested approximately 70 Palestinians between Friday and Saturday. According to the Palestinian Prisoners Club, many of those detained are former prisoners who had previously been released through prisoner exchange agreements. The organization characterized the operations as a form of ongoing punishment for those with prior incarceration histories.

Significant military activity was reported in Hebron, where incursions reached hundreds of homes and resulted in forced evictions. Similar operations were documented in several other locations, including Qalqilya, Jenin, Nablus, Jericho, Salfit, Tubas, Bethlehem, Tulkarem, and occupied Jerusalem.
