Israel establishes security zone in Lebanon as FBI reports rise in Chinese espionage

The Israeli military has established a security zone in southern Lebanon, focusing on the destruction of Hezbollah underground fortresses. Despite a ceasefire agreement reached in June through international mediation, the Israeli military continues to dismantle military infrastructure built with Iranian support, citing ongoing attacks by Hezbollah.

In the United States, FBI Director Kash Patel testified before Congress that intelligence agencies from hostile nations have intensified espionage and illegal activities within the country over the last 18 months. Patel reported that the FBI has successfully neutralized 60 agents linked to the Chinese government during this period.
