Israel Intercepts Two Drones Near Jordan Border
The Israeli armed forces announced they intercepted two unmanned aerial vehicles close to the border with Jordan. The drones were engaged by a fighter aircraft near the Dead Sea and did not enter Israeli airspace. Officials said the launch point is still being investigated.
Jordan's air force also reported shooting down two drones that were heading toward its territory, adding that the operation caused no casualties or material damage. Earlier in the month, Israel and Jordan jointly intercepted an Iranian‑launched missile aimed at the Jordanian city of Aqaba. Both countries have been on heightened alert following recent regional escalations involving Iran and the United States.
