Israel kills Gaza militant linked to Nova festival kidnappings

Israeli forces have killed Sahar Sakr in an airstrike targeting the Nuseirat area of the central Gaza Strip, according to medical sources at Al-Aqsa Hospital. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that Sakr was responsible for operating the motorcycle used to kidnap Israeli citizens Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or during the Nova music festival. Hamas also confirmed Sakr's involvement in the October 7 attacks.

In a separate but related period of intensified military activity, the Gaza Ministry of Health reported that at least seven Palestinians were killed and 38 wounded during three days of Israeli attacks. Among the deceased was Basir al-Bursh, the son of the ministry's Director General, Munir al-Bursh. The IDF confirmed it had targeted several fighters, including al-Bursh.

Rescue efforts remain hindered in several areas, including the Jabalia refugee camp, as medical teams struggle to reach victims trapped under rubble. Since the beginning of the conflict on October 7, 2023, the total death toll in Gaza has reached 73,910, according to health officials.
