Israel orders evacuation of Mansouri village in southern Lebanon amid Hezbollah strikes

The Israel Defense Forces issued an urgent evacuation alert for residents of Mansouri, a village in southern Lebanon, warning of imminent strikes targeting Hezbollah positions. Israeli military spokesperson Lt. Col. Ella Waweya instructed residents to move at least 1,000 metres north of the village. The alert follows recent Israeli strikes in the area, including an attack on the town of Tebnine that the Lebanese health ministry said killed one person and wounded twelve.

The evacuation comes amid a fragile cease‑fire between Israel and Hezbollah that has held since June 20, while Israeli and Lebanese negotiators continue talks in Rome. The broader conflict is linked to the wider Iran‑Israel war, which has also affected regional shipping through the Strait of Hormuz and heightened international pressure for a resolution.
