Israeli ministers propose seven-year plan to relocate Gazans

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has introduced a seven-year plan, titled ‘Disconnection 710’, aimed at the ‘voluntary migration’ of approximately 1.86 million Palestinians from the Gaza Strip. The proposal outlines a phased relocation, targeting 250,000 individuals in the first year, 1.11 million within three years, and the remaining population by the seventh year. Ben-Gvir intends to make the creation of a dedicated Ministry of Migration a key demand in upcoming government negotiations.

Defense Minister Israel Katz has supported the concept of mass migration as the only viable solution for Gaza, stating that Israel is prepared to facilitate these transfers via sea, air, or other means. Katz noted that the government is awaiting support from the United States, suggesting that Donald Trump has merely ‘frozen’ rather than canceled previous proposals regarding Palestinian displacement.

Human rights organizations and Hamas have condemned the plans, characterizing them as attempts at ethnic cleansing and a violation of international law. Hamas has called on Arab and Islamic nations to take unified action to prevent the displacement of Gazans.
