Israel recorded 2,850 sovereignty violations in Syria
Since the fall of the Bashar al-Assad government in December 2024, Israel has carried out 2,850 documented violations of Syrian sovereignty, according to data from the Sijill center. These incidents include both airstrikes and ground incursions, primarily concentrated in the Quneitra and Daraa provinces.
In September 2026 alone, 192 incursions were recorded in Quneitra and 67 in Daraa. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reports that 1,019 ground incursions have occurred since December 2024, with 720 of those taking place in 2026. Additionally, the Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) noted at least 453 ground penetrations and the detention of 162 Syrian citizens by Israeli forces.
Reports indicate that Israel has utilized security vacuums to bomb defense facilities and aircraft, while also occupying strategic locations in southern Syria, including the Jabal al-Shaykh heights.
