Israeli air and ground attacks kill civilians in Gaza

Israeli forces bombed a tent shelter in Khan Younis, killing 8‑year‑old Rita and injuring dozens, and carried out nightly strikes on residential buildings, a mosque and a neighbourhood in Deir el‑Balah, causing further civilian deaths, including children. Since the cease‑fire began, the Israeli Defence Forces have killed more than 1,200 people in Gaza, averaging four deaths and 13 injuries each day.

Protests erupted abroad, with hundreds marching to the White House while U.S. President Donald Trump met Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, demanding his arrest under an ICC warrant for alleged war crimes. Demonstrators also condemned the forced displacement of Gaza’s residents and the destruction of homes and places of worship.
