German Minister calls for Gaza peace plan implementation
German Development Minister Reem Alabali Radovan has called on all parties to implement the Gaza peace plan and UN Security Council resolutions to end violence in the region. Radovan emphasized that Hamas must disarm and Israel must withdraw according to agreed terms to achieve a lasting peace and support a two-state solution involving Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem.
This call follows Israel's rejection of a 15-point roadmap proposed by the Gaza Peace Council. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the Israeli army will not conduct any withdrawal until Hamas is completely disarmed of all weapons. Netanyahu also reaffirmed his opposition to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
The peace plan, which includes provisions for Hamas disarmament and an Israeli military withdrawal, was previously announced in late July by US President Donald Trump, who described the plan as a ‘milestone.’ Germany has expressed its readiness to support the peace process and participate in the reconstruction of Gaza.
