Israeli forces destroy memorials in Tulkarm and Kafr al‑Labad

Israeli occupation forces demolished two memorials for Palestinian martyrs and national symbols in the West Bank city of Tulkarm and the nearby town of Kafr al‑Labad. The destroyed sites included a monument to George Habash in the Al‑Alimi roundabout, a monument to Ziyad Daas on Khudori Street, a photo of Nshat Abu Jbara on a utility pole, and additional memorials at Khudori and Karuma roundabouts.

Tulkarm Governor Abdullah Kmeel denounced the attacks as collective punishment that violates international humanitarian law and called for serious international action to hold the occupiers accountable. The vandalism occurred amid ongoing Israeli aggression on Tulkarm and its refugee camps, which has resulted in deaths, injuries, arrests, extensive infrastructure damage and the displacement of thousands of residents.
