Israeli forces intensify West Bank raids amid regional condemnation

Israeli security forces expanded operations across the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, conducting raids in at least 20 towns and villages, demolishing homes, and arresting dozens of Palestinians. The actions included a blocked ambulance for a pregnant woman in Qaryut, settler attacks on villages such as Abu Fuzaa and Al‑Burj, and the alleged burning of a mosque in Tulkarem. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and a broad coalition of Arab states and the Arab League condemned the violence, labeling the situation a "moment of explosion" and urging international intervention. UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese described the settler assaults as "pogroms against defenceless civilians."

Meanwhile, a separate terrorist attack near the Palestinian village of Tell in Samaria resulted in the deaths of two Israeli settlers, Benayahu Malt and Maj. Yuval Ezra, after a confrontation with local residents. Israeli troops and community security forces intervened, seizing weapons and arresting the attackers. The incident has drawn Israeli attention away from its focus on Iran, with U.S.‑Israeli discussions on the Iranian threat continuing alongside the West Bank security surge.
