Israeli legal disputes involve Supreme Court judge's home break-in and Netanyahu son defamation case

Transcripts released by i24news show two suspects in a break‑in at the home of Supreme Court Justice Naom Solberg discussing their fear of detention and the evidence against them. Four people have been charged, with two also accused of trespassing, and their custody has been extended while the case proceeds.

In a separate court hearing in Jerusalem, Yair Netanyahu filed a defamation lawsuit against Prof. Avshalom Elitzur over tweets alleging that the prime minister’s son had committed violent acts against Benjamin Netanyahu and his mother. The judge rejected the defense’s arguments, warned the professor after he issued a threatened message to the prosecution team, and urged the parties to reach a financial settlement, though they could not agree on the amount.
