The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the completion of operations to clear Hezbollah underground infrastructure on the Ali al-Taher ridge in southern Lebanon. The IDF 36th Division reported achieving operational control over the area both above and below ground, having cleared two major tunnel routes within the security zone.

During the operation, Israeli forces reported killing several Hezbollah members while others fled the area. The military discovered a strategic complex that included command rooms, weapons storage, generator rooms, living quarters, showers, and a kitchen. The IDF stated that this infrastructure was planned and funded by Iran and had been built over approximately two decades to allow operatives to conduct combat operations and remain underground for extended periods.

Following the clearance, the IDF is working to neutralize the remaining infrastructure before transitioning to a defensive posture. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the Ali al-Taher area no longer poses a threat to Israel. The operation follows previous warnings from Iran regarding potential Israeli strikes in the region.
