Israeli military demolishes Palestinian home in Hebron
The Israeli military has demolished a home in the Hallete ed-Deyrat area near Hebron, leaving two Palestinian families homeless. The 130-square-meter structure, which consisted of two sections, was destroyed in approximately 25 minutes.
Homeowner Faris Muhammed stated that the demolition was carried out under the pretext that the building lacked permits. He noted that the home was located in Area C of the West Bank and argued that Israeli authorities do not grant construction permits to Palestinians in this region despite long-term residency.
This incident occurs amid an increase in structure demolitions and restrictions on construction, electricity, and water access in the West Bank. Palestinian residents claim these actions are intended to force them from their land. Since October 2023, there has been a documented rise in raids and attacks in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
