Israeli military siege restricts movement in Madama village

The Israeli army has implemented a tight siege on the West Bank village of Madama, south of Nablus, by blocking all four entrances with earthen barriers. Citing “security reasons,” the military has restricted the movement of more than 2,500 residents for over two weeks.

According to local reports, the restrictions are intended to prevent Palestinian farmers from accessing their land, specifically in the northern part of the village near an illegal settler outpost. While residents attempted to use a makeshift dirt track to reach nearby areas like Ramallah, the Israeli military monitored the route with drones and used sound grenades and tear gas to deter movement. The track has since been blocked, leaving the village largely isolated.
