Israeli Minister Gila Gamliel slams Supreme Court judge and legal adviser
Minister Gila Gamliel, a member of Israel's political‑security cabinet and head of the Innovation, Science and Technology Ministry, launched a sharp attack on Supreme Court Justice Yitzhak Amit, accusing him of anti‑democratic statements and describing his remarks as a "dangerous concentration of power."
Gamliel also targeted the government's legal adviser, claiming the adviser conducted a political campaign to dismantle the right‑wing coalition and succeeded in doing so. She warned that the legal adviser’s actions have created deep divisions within the coalition and threatened the country's democratic balance. In the same interview, Gamliel proposed that the authority to set judicial panel compositions be transferred to an artificial‑intelligence‑based system to eliminate bias and political influence.
