Israeli news crew attacked in Belfast during antisemitism report

A news crew from the Israeli channel i24NEWS was attacked in Belfast, Northern Ireland, while filming a report on the rise of antisemitism in Europe. Reporter Yonatan Raveh and cameraman Nadav Abbas were conducting street interviews near a bar complex when a man approached them.

According to reports, the assailant shouted anti-Israel insults and attempted to seize the crew's camera and equipment. The situation escalated when the man threw a large glass beer mug at Abbas, striking him in the head and causing a laceration.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has arrested and charged a 30-year-old man. The charges include assault causing bodily harm, common assault, assault on a police officer, and two counts of possession of a dangerous weapon in a public place.
