Israeli professor accused of planning mass Palestinian displacement
An indictment submitted to the Lod District Court reveals that a mathematics professor in his 60s from Bar-Ilan University allegedly planned coordinated attacks to force the mass migration of Palestinians.
According to the indictment, the academic began organizing a group of 72 individuals in February 2023. The organization was structured into six cells of 12 members each, equipped with firearms, axes, and hammers. The plan aimed to cause the deaths of at least 700 Palestinians, including women and children, through simultaneous attacks and coordinated artillery and airstrikes in Palestinian city centers.
The professor reportedly prepared specialized manuals regarding weapon procurement, dress codes, and secrecy protocols. The indictment also notes that the academic conducted reconnaissance trips to target locations, such as the Tuba-Zangariya Bedouin village, and intended to coordinate with certain elements within the Israeli military to execute the plan.
