Israeli raids in West Bank and reconstruction efforts in Beirut's Dahiya
Israeli forces conducted widespread raids and arrests across several governorates in the occupied West Bank on Monday. The operations resulted in multiple injuries and arrests, including a journalist and former prisoners.
In Bethlehem, 11 Palestinians were detained in Marah Rabah. In Hebron, journalist Alaa Sarahna was arrested following a raid on his home in the Al-Fawwar camp. In Ramallah, Mahmoud Shlatweh, a former prisoner, was detained in Aboud. In Nablus, a young man was injured by gunfire during a raid on the Balata camp, where five other residents were arrested. Raids also extended into Jenin, targeting several towns including Silat al-Sham, Al-Yamoun, and Ya'bad.
Meanwhile, in the Dahiya suburb of Beirut, residents have begun intensive efforts to clear rubble and repair damaged buildings following a ceasefire. Since the cessation of hostilities, many citizens have returned to their homes in areas like Haret Hreik and Bourj el-Barajneh. Despite the lack of financial compensation, families and volunteers are using heavy machinery and individual initiatives to restore roads, clear broken glass, and repair partially damaged structures.
