Israeli settlers attack Palestinian home in Kusra village
Dozens of Israeli settlers attacked and occupied a Palestinian family home in the village of Kusra, located in the northern West Bank. The incident follows nearly three weeks of tension in the area, during which radical settler groups have reportedly blocked access to food and water supplies for local residents.
During the confrontation, settlers surrounded Palestinian workers and threw stones at a building where residents were sheltering. The Israeli military and border police intervened after receiving reports of “rioters” and violent clashes. While the military worked to remove the settlers and seize their vehicles, local residents reported that soldiers used force against the Palestinian occupants of the house rather than the attackers.
At least one Palestinian woman was reportedly hospitalized due to injuries. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a condemnation of the incident, a move described as unusual. Despite the military intervention, no arrests of the settlers were reported, and residents claimed the attackers were allowed to leave the scene.
