Nabatieh: Israeli strikes kill one and target medical responders

Israeli military operations in southern Lebanon have resulted in the death of a Lebanese man and the targeting of emergency responders in the Nabatieh district. According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, a double-tap drone strike first hit a vehicle in the Universities Neighborhood of Nabatieh, wounding two people. A subsequent strike then hit an ambulance from the Al-Risala Foundation that had arrived to evacuate the wounded, causing damage to the vehicle.

One victim, identified as Ali Sabah, later died from his injuries in a hospital. The Ministry of Health condemned the incident as an unacceptable violation of international humanitarian law, accusing the Israeli military of the continued targeting of rescue crews.

In a separate incident, a Lebanese civil defense firefighter was targeted by a drone while attempting to extinguish a fire in the Nabatieh province. While no injuries were reported in that specific attack, the team was forced to withdraw from the area. These strikes occur amid ongoing military activity and tensions in southern Lebanon, despite existing diplomatic frameworks aimed at reducing hostilities.
