Israeli tourists fall ill at Vlorë hotel, alleging poisoning
Dozens of Israeli tourists staying at the Priam Hotel in Vlorë, Albania, reported severe health symptoms including vomiting, tremors, weakness, loss of sensation and an inability to walk. One tourist, Racheli from Kfar Saba, described how her young daughter could not move her legs and the whole family soon experienced the same symptoms, saying, "We reached a point where we could not walk… we thought we were dying."
The tourists suspect a leak of nitrogen or another contaminant from the hotel’s air‑conditioning system, though Albanian authorities have not released an official report and the hotel has not commented. They allege inadequate medical care, citing that they were given serum attached to a wall and left on the floor, and they have called for a full investigation into the incident.
