Israeli tourists report targeted attack in Montenegro
Two Israeli tourists, identified as Yoav and Dor, reported being targeted and chased by a group of approximately 15 people while on vacation in Montenegro. The incident reportedly began at a casino after a man approached the pair and asked for their nationality. Upon learning they were from Israel, the victims claim the situation escalated into what they described as a “pre-organized ambush.”
The group allegedly pursued the men through the streets. During the chase, the two men were separated; Yoav reported hiding in a private garden for two and a half hours while hearing individuals shouting “Jews, Jews!” nearby, while Dor claimed he was caught and physically assaulted by the group before managing to flee to his hotel.
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Israeli consulate in Serbia, which oversees Montenegro, intervened to assist the victims. Local Montenegrin authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
