Israel's Hadassah Hospital Rededication and Social Challenges Spotlighted

The Hadassah Medical Organization, a cornerstone of Israel’s health system, opened its Mount Scopus campus in 1939 and later established the Ein Kerem campus in 1961 after operating from satellite sites during the nation’s early conflicts. The iconic Round Building, central to the Ein Kerem campus, underwent a full renovation and began a phased reopening in 2024, with its official rededication scheduled for October 26‑29, 2024, as part of a larger four‑day conference and tour for Hadassah members and supporters.

Separately, Dr. Michael Laitman described Israel’s broader societal strains, identifying an inflated collective ego as a key driver of economic disparity, rising living costs, layoffs, and increasing social alienation. He warned that these internal pressures, coupled with external hostility, heighten defensiveness, aggression, and a sense of isolation among citizens, reflecting a wider existential challenge for the nation.
