Issa Kaboré to join Wrexham on permanent transfer from Manchester City
Manchester City has reportedly agreed to a £2 million transfer deal with Wrexham for defender Issa Kaboré. The 25-year-old Burkina Faso international is expected to undergo a medical before finalizing the permanent move.
Kaboré, who joined Manchester City from KV Mechelen in 2020, has spent much of his tenure at the club on various loan spells across Europe, including stints at Troyes, Marseille, Luton Town, Benfica, and Werder Bremen. Following a successful loan period at Wrexham last season, where he made significant appearances and provided multiple assists, the Welsh club has moved to secure his services permanently.
The transfer marks the end of Kaboré’s six-year association with Manchester City, during which he never made a competitive senior appearance for the club.
