ISSF Shooting World Cup Final and Doha World Championships announced
The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) has released the official list of athletes qualified for the Shooting World Cup Final, scheduled to take place in Rome from December 3 to December 8. While the final roster is nearly complete following the recent stage in Egypt, names from the upcoming World Championships in Doha and wild card recipients from Fitav and Uits are still pending.
Seven Italian athletes have already secured qualification for the Rome finals: Sara Bongini, Erik Pittini, Gabriele Rossetti, Erminio Frasca, Erica Sessa, and Silvana Stanco in clay target disciplines, and Paolo Monna in 10m pistol.
In preparation for the 2026 World Championships in Doha, scheduled for November 1–14, the Italian technical staff has selected 16 athletes. The squad includes nine pistol specialists, such as Paolo Monna, Federico Maldini, and Massimo Spinella, and seven rifle specialists, including Danilo Dennis Sollazzo and Edoardo Bonazzi. The Doha championships will serve as a critical platform for athletes seeking qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.
