Colima implements public health and infrastructure initiatives

The Government of Colima is executing several regional initiatives focused on public health, infrastructure, and cultural preservation. The State Health Services have scheduled fumigation campaigns across 23 neighborhoods and various cemeteries in municipalities including Armería, Colima, Manzanillo, Tecomán, and Villa de Álvarez to prevent dengue outbreaks ahead of Day of the Dead celebrations.

In terms of infrastructure, Conagua has allocated over 42.2 million pesos through the Proagua program to modernize hydraulic systems. Key projects include equipping a new deep well in Cuauhtémoc, rehabilitating distribution networks in Manzanillo, and upgrading sewage and sanitation systems in the metropolitan and coastal areas.

Additionally, Martí Batres, director of ISSSTE, met with authorities in Colima to strengthen medical services, focusing on pharmacy improvements, electronic prescriptions, and the implementation of National Medical Care Protocols. In the cultural sector, the Alfonso Michel Festival featured over 100 artists, and the 87th Feria de Todos los Santos officially commenced with a traditional inaugural parade.
