ISSSTE distributes 60 radiotransparent stretchers in Oaxaca

The Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (ISSSTE) has distributed 60 radiotransparent stretchers to medical units across Oaxaca, Mexico. This equipment is designed to allow patients to undergo X-ray examinations without being moved, which improves safety and efficiency for approximately 532,000 beneficiaries in the state.

Of the 60 units, 40 were allocated to the Hospital Regional ‘Presidente Benito Juárez’ in Oaxaca. An additional 17 stretchers were distributed among clinics in Huajuapan de León, Pinotepa Nacional, Tehuantepec, and Tuxtepec. Three more units were provided to Family Medicine Clinics with Specialties and Operating Rooms in Oaxaca and Puerto Escondido.

José Manuel Domínguez Chamú, the ISSSTE medical subdelegate in Oaxaca, stated that the equipment facilitates faster diagnoses for suspected fractures or serious internal injuries while reducing the risks and physical manipulation associated with patient transfers.
