ISSSTE Hospital in Tepic performs 150 cataract surgeries

The ISSSTE General Hospital in Tepic, Nayarit, conducted a surgical campaign providing 150 cataract surgeries to beneficiaries. Using minimally invasive techniques, medical teams replaced affected lenses with intraocular lenses (IOL) to restore visual capacity.

The multidisciplinary effort included specialists in ophthalmology, anesthesiology, nursing, and social work. The campaign benefited residents from various municipalities, including Tecuala, Acaponeta, Ruiz, Tuxpan, and San Blas in Nayarit, as well as Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. Patients were able to return home on the same day as their procedures to begin post-operative recovery.
