ISSSTE strengthens high-specialty cardiovascular care in Mexico

The ISSSTE National Medical Center '20 de Noviembre' in Mexico has strengthened its high-specialty cardiovascular services. Through the 'Código Infarto' protocol, the center has provided timely care to 260 referred patients since 2026.

Annually, the facility performs approximately 400 open-heart surgeries and more than 600 coronary angioplasties. The cardiology service includes nine specialized areas, such as interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, and cardiac rehabilitation. The center also serves as a major training hub, currently hosting 45 clinical cardiology residents and 40 high-specialty residents.
