Istanbul Bar Association to hold elections with nine candidates

The Istanbul Bar Association is preparing for its General Assembly and elections, scheduled to take place on October 24-25 at the Haliç Congress Center. Nine candidates are competing for the presidency.

Incumbent President İbrahim Kaboğlu is running for re-election as the candidate for the Lawyers for Change Group. Former president Ümit Kocasakal will contest the election as the candidate for the Republican Power Unity alliance. Other candidates include Hasan Kılıç, Korkut Kanadoğlu, Arife Gökkaya Dinç, Atakan Adem Selanik, Salih Uçar, Metin Üraçin, and Gülbeyaz Karadeniz.

Election protocols have been established, allowing presidential candidates 20 minutes each to speak, while group representatives will have seven minutes. To facilitate attendance, the Bar Association has announced free bus and boat shuttle services for the duration of the assembly.
