Istanbul Bosphorus Triathlon concludes with Venediktov and Calp victories

The 2026 Istanbul Bosphorus Triathlon, the world’s only intercontinental triathlon, was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and organized by the Turkish Triathlon Federation. Approximately 1,000 local and international athletes participated in the event, which consisted of a 2.2-kilometer swim, a 40-kilometer cycling stage across the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge from Asia to Europe, and a 10-kilometer run.

Mikhail Venediktov won the men’s general classification, while Ece Calp secured first place in the women’s general classification. The event also featured the inaugural Aquathlon competition, which included a 2.2-kilometer swim and a 10-kilometer run.

In collaboration with the Anne Çocuk Eğitim Vakfı (AÇEV), the event integrated a social responsibility component. Through a partnership with Oral-B, the efforts of every athlete who completed the course contributed to projects supporting children’s oral and dental health.
