Istanbul building fires reported in Bakırköy and Zeytinburnu

Two separate building fires were reported in Istanbul, Turkey.

In the Bakırköy district, a fire broke out on the roof of a four-story building in the Yeşilyurt neighborhood. The building had been evacuated as part of urban transformation projects. Firefighters used ladders to control the flames, preventing them from spreading to surrounding structures. No injuries or fatalities were reported because the building was already empty.

In the Zeytinburnu district, a fire started in the basement of a five-story building in the Sümer neighborhood. Smoke filled the entire building, prompting the evacuation of residents by fire crews. Five individuals were treated by medical teams for smoke inhalation. Authorities are investigating the causes of both incidents.
