Istanbul Büyükçekmece International Culture and Art Festival Opens

The 27th International Istanbul Büyükcekmece Culture and Art Festival began with a grand opening ceremony attended by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality officials, including Deputy Mayor Nuri Aslan, mayoral candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu’s spouse Dilek Kaya İmamoğlu, and local leaders. The event, recognized twelve consecutive times as the World’s Best Culture and Art Festival, featured representatives from 62 countries and over 650 cultural ambassadors.

During the festival, the Büyükcekmece Municipality held the annual press awards ceremony at the Büyükcekmece Kültürpark Kemal Sunal Amphitheatre. Deputy Mayor Hakan Çebi, FIDAF president H. Gürhan Ozanoğlu, and press advisor Ümit Ersoy presented awards to journalists for their unbiased and principled reporting.
