Istanbul City Theatres to stage Cadı Kazanı in Ataşehir

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality City Theatres will present Arthur Miller’s play ‘Cadı Kazanı’ (The Crucible) at the Ataşehir İnal Aydınoğlu Cultural Center. The performance is scheduled for Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 20:00.

Directed by Yiğit Sertdemir and translated by Sabahattin Eyüboğlu and Vedat Günyol, the play is based on the real events of the 1692 Salem witch trials in America. The narrative explores themes of religious fanaticism, social hysteria, and the manipulation of faith for personal gain, examining how individuals are driven to death through legal and social processes.

The production features a large cast, including Berfu Aydoğan, Berna Adıgüzel, Burak Davutoğlu, and several others.
