Istanbul hosts major music festivals with Emir Can İğrek concert and TUGFO 20th anniversary

Singer Emir Can İğrek performed at the Kültürpark Kemal Sunal Amphitheatre in Istanbul as part of the 27th International Istanbul Büyükçekmece Culture and Art Festival. He sang his hit “Beyaz” while displaying a childhood photo, and presented songs from his new album “Fiyakalı” to a sold‑out audience.

The Turkey Youth Philharmonic Orchestra (TUGFO) marked its 20th year with a series of concerts in Istanbul, including a special birthday show at the Lütfi Kırdar Congress and Exhibition Center. The program featured the world premiere of young composer Emre Şener’s piece “Je ne Sais Quoi/Şeytan Tüyü” and works by Humperdinck, Tchaikovsky, Ravel, Dukas and the Nutcracker Suite. The events were supported by the Sabancı Foundation and Rönesans Health Investment, and TUGFO announced upcoming concerts in Germany and Romania for 2026.
