Istanbul launches 300 million TL innovation support program

The Istanbul Development Agency, coordinated by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, has announced a 300 million TL support program for innovation-driven industries. The initiative aims to strengthen Istanbul’s position as a leader in the sector, noting that the city hosts over 40% of Turkey’s innovative employment and generates approximately three-quarters of the national innovative economy turnover.

Financial support for projects will range from 5 million TL to 20 million TL per project. The program focuses on two primary areas: first, supporting innovative, sustainable, and scalable infrastructures, platforms, and business models to increase production capacity; and second, strengthening Istanbul’s identity as an innovative city through projects such as the revitalization of public spaces, augmented and virtual reality applications in historical sites, and the conversion of idle buildings into production centers.

Applications must be submitted online via the Development Agencies Management System (KAYS) by the deadline of December 4, 2026. Projects will be evaluated by independent reviewers to determine eligibility for funding.
