Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality announces student dormitory results

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) has announced the application results for its higher education student dormitories for the 2026-2027 academic year. The dormitory network includes 11 facilities on the European side and 5 on the Anatolian side, providing housing for 10 female and 6 male student groups.

Students placed on the main list must complete their pre-registration via the official website by September 5 at 23:59. Final registration, which requires the submission of necessary documents, will take place between September 16 and September 19. Selection criteria for students living outside of Istanbul include factors such as university type, YKS placement scores, grade point averages, scholarship status for foundation university students, age, and employment status.

Separately, regarding the İBB 'Young University Student' social support scholarship, the official application schedule for the 2026-2027 period has not yet been announced. While students are inquiring about start dates, the municipality has not released a specific timeline for the new term.
