Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality provides livestock feed support

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) is continuing its support program for livestock producers to mitigate rising feed costs. During a cattle milk feed distribution ceremony held in Çatalca, İBB Deputy Chairman Nuri Aslan announced that the municipality has distributed a total of 6,153,000 kilograms of milk feed between 2022 and 2025, representing a direct financial support value of approximately 66 million lira.

For 2026, the support is set at 1,507,000 kilograms of cattle milk feed, which will bring the total amount distributed since 2022 to over 7.6 million kilograms. Aslan emphasized that supporting local producers is essential for Istanbul’s food security and long-term healthy nutrition.

In addition to livestock feed, the municipality provides support for seeds, seedlings, fuel, and fertilizer, covering sectors such as beekeeping and fishing. The program aims to foster a self-sufficient Istanbul with secured water and food resources.
