Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality to tender 250 app-based taxi rights

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) is launching a tender for 250 app-based taxi transportation rights. These rights will be licensed to real persons for a duration of 29 years.

The tender is scheduled to take place on October 13, 2026, at the Dr. Mimar Kadir Topbaş Show and Art Center in Yenikapı. Each license plate will be evaluated individually. The estimated value for each taxi transportation right has been set at 6,376,000 TL plus VAT, with a temporary guarantee amount of 191,280 TL.

Participation is restricted to real persons, with a limit of one transportation right per individual. Applicants must be between the ages of 22 and 69 and must not already own another public transportation vehicle plate. Required documentation includes a driver's license (minimum Class B), proof of residence in Istanbul, and a criminal record check.
