Istanbul Muslim Students Examine 900‑Year Anatolian Spiritual Dynamics

A group of Muslim university students from several countries gathered at a university in Istanbul to discuss the current condition of the Muslim world. They agreed to keep the conversation free of direct criticism of any state, party or leader and to focus on identifying mistakes and learning lessons.

Participants highlighted how imperial powers and media channels shape narratives, noting the lack of reliable news sources for Muslim populations. They cited Indonesia’s population of over 300 million as an example of the scale of the Muslim community and expressed concern that internal security agencies and external influences hinder the development of a unified Muslim information space.
