Turkish authorities arrest fugitives and fine illegal dumpers

Turkish law enforcement and municipal authorities have conducted several operations targeting fugitives and environmental violations. In Istanbul, police apprehended H. K., a man wanted since 2014 for drug importation, who had been living under false identities. Additionally, B. K. was arrested in Beylikdüzü after being a fugitive for 10 years due to fraud and forgery convictions.

Regarding environmental protection, Manisa Metropolitan Municipality has intensified its crackdown on illegal construction waste and rubble dumping. Using drones and security cameras, authorities have issued significant administrative fines, including one recent penalty of approximately 200,000 TL. Similarly, in Kocaeli's Dilovası district, a firm was fined over 9.3 million TL for illegal excavation dumping.

In a separate legal matter in Kocaeli, a defendant was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison for violating privacy by attempting to record a woman in a clothing store fitting room.
