Istanbul Police Chief Selami Yıldız leads drone‑assisted drug raid in Şişli

On 4 July 2026, Istanbul's Police Chief Selami Yıldız took part in a drone‑supported narcotics and public‑order operation in the Kuştepe neighbourhood of Şişli. The inspection involved traffic, security, anti‑terror and narcotics units, which stopped vehicles, used drug‑sniffing dogs, and examined persons' clothing and bags while conducting General Information (GBT) queries.
