15 Temmuz Şehitler Bridge Closed for Nighttime Documentary Filming

The Istanbul Governor’s Office announced that the 15 Temmuz Şehitler Bridge will be closed to vehicle traffic from the Anatolian to the European side for three consecutive nights – 3 August, 4 August and 5 August 2026 – between 01:00 and 05:00 each night. The closure is required for the shooting of the documentary series “Asırlık Gece.”

The Istanbul Police Traffic Department listed the specific road sections that will be blocked: Beylerbeyi bridge entry, Kısıklı Caddesi Altunizade bridge entry, Altunizade junction and Tophaneli Caddesi bridge entry, as well as the north‑bound D‑100 highway approaching the bridge. Drivers are directed to use alternative routes such as the Avrasya Tunnel, the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, the IDO Harem ferry terminal, the D‑100 via the Avrasya Tunnel, and the TEM highway via the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge.

Motorists were urged to plan their trips accordingly and follow the posted signs to avoid congestion during the temporary traffic arrangement.
