Istanbul Theatre Festival announces ‘Bir Çeyiz Sözleşmesi’ production

The play ‘Bir Çeyiz Sözleşmesi’ (A Dowry Contract) has released its official poster and is set to be performed as part of the 30th Istanbul Theatre Festival. The production will take place at the Yeniköy Panayia Church on October 30, October 31, and November 1.

Written by Elif Özge based on archival research by Orhan Türker, the play is directed by Murat Daltaban. The narrative is inspired by a real 129-year-old dowry document from May 28, 1897, in Yeniköy, detailing the marriage contract of Koralia and Athanasios. The performance features actors Metin Akdülger, Gizem Güçlü, Selin Tali, Tan Temel, and Pınar Yıldırım. Following the festival, the play will continue its run at the same venue with matinee and evening performances.
