Istanbul to host major international swimming and rowing competitions

Istanbul is set to host two major international sporting events. The 38th Bosphorus Intercontinental Swimming Race will take place on August 23, featuring hundreds of swimmers from 78 different countries competing across the Bosphorus strait. Wellness technology brand SKG will participate by providing recovery support and physiotherapy services to athletes during the event.

Additionally, the second DenizBank Tersane Istanbul Rowing Cup will be held in the Golden Horn from September 11 to 13. The competition features a total prize pool of $250,000, with the top prize in the Coastal Race category valued at $100,000. The event will be attended by high-level officials, including the President of the European Rowing Federation and the Secretary General of World Rowing. The rowing competition includes Coastal, Club, and Corporate race categories, testing athletes' endurance against wind, currents, and technical navigation.
